The Lutron Maestro occupancy sensor switch is an innovative solution that combines a Maestro switch with a passive infrared occupancy or vacancy sensor. Designed to detect the heat emitted by occupants moving within a space, this sensor determines whether the area is occupied and adjusts the connected load accordingly. Equipped with Lutron’s exclusive XCT Technology, the passive infrared sensor ensures precise motion detection, even for fine movements. With a 180° field-of-view, it offers major motion coverage of up to 30 ft x 30 ft (9 m x 9 m) [900 ft² (81 m²)] and minor motion coverage of 20 ft x 20 ft (6 m x 6 m) [400 ft² (36 m²)]. The occupancy version can be configured for Auto-ON/Auto-OFF or Manual-ON/Auto-OFF operation, while the vacancy version is designed to meet CA Title 24 requirements. It features an adjustable timeout setting (1, 5, 15, or 30 minutes) and high/low sensitivity adjustment for customized performance. Compatible with a wide range of load types—including incandescent, halogen, ELV, MLV, CFL, LED, magnetic fluorescent, electronic fluorescent, and fans—this switch is versatile and reliable. Its crush- and tamper-resistant lens, along with smart ambient light detection, ensures durability and optimal functionality in any environment.
